A little info...

Katie bought her first motorcycle in December of 2005..... Within minutes of feeling the power of the throttle, she was addicted.

Katie first rolled a wheel on the track in June of 2006. Her first riding season was completed entirely with Team-Promotion track days. In 2007, she rode over 40 track days with Nesba, STT, and Team Promotion, achieving advanced level status with all 3 organizations. Katie also began coaching with STT in August of 2007. Katie managed to attend over 60 total track days in 2 years, attain advanced level status with NESBA, STT, and TPM all while never experiencing a get-off or a crash.

2008 was the begining of Katie's first race season with WERA. She competed in two WERA Regional Series and the WERA Grand National Finals. During her first race weekend with WERA, Katie was severely injured during the last race of the day following an accident where she and another rider got together. Katie healed up quickly and was back on track coaching with STT at Pocono in May. She was back racing June 6, 2008 at Summit Point with WERA.

During the 2009 season Katie was able to battle out with the boys, achieving mostly podium results and becoming the WERA National Women's Superstock Champion! She was also the runner up in three regional 600 Superstock Championships and 3rd in two regional 600 Superbike Championships!

Plans for 2010:

For the 2010 season, Katie has a few options. AMA may be in the mix, WERA Nationals may be the route, or WERA regionals. It honestly depends entirely on sponsorship. Hard work and dedication will again prove it's worth for the 2010 season. Training is set to begin at the end of October to ensure that no matter where she ends up, she'll be in the greatest competitive shape possible.
